Our materials

Teak is a hardwood native to South and Souteast Asia. Teak's natural oils make means it holds up well outdoors. It is also termite and pest resistant. We use both plantation and recycled Teak, so you can be assured no forests are being cut down.

Sungkai is a slightly softer, more malleable wood. It is sometimes called Indonesian Oak because of the beauty of its grains.

Marble has always carried with it the connotation of luxury, but we're glad we're able to offer a range of beautiful natural stoneware at a reasonable price point.

Cane and rattan have been used in furniture manufacturing for over 100 years. It's an incredibly versatile and durable material, capable of creating an infinite number of patterns and forms. It's also great for the outdoors.

Our obsession with materiality means we're always on the lookout for new materials to play with. From banana leaves, to unique fibers that are native to a particular region — the sky's the limit.
